Revista Nómadas
The jucumari is disappearing, and for a foundation that carries its name, that is no small matter. Through Revista Nómadas, an independent Bolivian magazine and a national reference in environmental journalism, we financed an investigation, "Tras las huellas del jucumari," that follows the threats endangering South America's last remaining bear: shrinking habitat, conflict with farmers, a species with nowhere left to go. Journalism like this gives a silent animal what it otherwise lacks, a public record and a public that cares.
